“Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Launches Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 4.0 from October 2 to October 31, 2024”

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has announced the launch of the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 4.0, which will run from October 2 to October 31, 2024. The Department of Pharmaceuticals, along with associated bodies like the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), National Institutes of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPERs), and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as HAL, KAPL, and BCPL, will actively participate for the fourth consecutive year.

Key Objectives:

  • The campaign aims to resolve pending matters, building on previous successes.
  • Focus areas include clearing parliamentary assurances, public grievances, MP references, and cleaning outdoor and indoor sites.

Achievements from SCDPM 3.0:

  • Responded to 13 out of 19 pending MP references.
  • Resolved 731 out of 800 public grievances.
  • Cleared 78 out of 87 public grievance appeals.
  • Addressed all references from the PMO, State Governments, and IMC.
  • Completed 11 out of 20 parliamentary assurances.
  • Cleaned 9,651 outdoor sites across India, including 9,600 Jan Aushadhi Kendras, raising awareness about cleanliness.
  • Reviewed 5,823 physical files, weeding out 1,400, and managed 3,261 e-files.
  • Generated revenue of ₹3.71 lakh from scrap disposal.
  • Implemented 8 best practices to improve ease of living, reclaim office space, and promote citizen engagement.
  • Issued guidelines for safe disposal of expired medicines.

Plan for SCDPM 4.0:

The Department is ready to implement SCDPM 4.0 with the following focus areas:

  • Identification of targets will begin on September 17, 2024.
  • Continue supporting other organizations under the Department to reach milestones like 100% e-Office/e-files.
  • Promote transparency with Digital Signature Certificates (DSCs), of which 45 have already been issued.

The campaign will focus on achieving even greater efficiency and will be promoted through PIB and social media platforms like Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
