Droupadi Murmu, graced the 10th convocation of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi. President Murmu acknowledged the emotional stress families face and urged doctors to remain sensitive in such situations. She condemned any misbehavior toward healthcare professionals in moments of frustration, reminding everyone that doctors always aim to save lives but face limitations. Medical science has yet to fully resolve many human health mysteries, and doctors, working in high-pressure environments, often need to make difficult decisions.
The President also stressed the need for increased medical research focusing on women’s health issues. She highlighted the lack of sufficient attention to women’s medical problems and urged researchers to prioritize these areas for the betterment of public health.
Furthermore, President Murmu spoke about the evolving landscape of science and technology, including the growing role of telemedicine in expanding healthcare access and the potential of Artificial Intelligence to enhance disease diagnosis and treatment. She encouraged the medical community to stay updated with the latest research and technologies to continually improve patient care.
